Experience Uganda from North to South: Kidepo Valley NP to Bwindi Impenetrable NP. Start by heading to the untouched wilderness of Kidepo. From there continue the journey to the south with highlights of boat-cruise, game-drives and chimps trekking on the way. In the south you will meet the gentle Giants of Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, the Mountain Gorillas.  Along the way you discover Uganda's varied nature and friendly people.

Day 1:  

Arrival day at Entebbe airport

Arrive at Entebbe international airport during the day 14,00 hrs and be met by our safari guide to start your tour.

Overnight Sir Jose hotel.

Day 2:  

Start the drive towards Kidepo Valley National Park

after an early breakfast you set off on the journey that will take you to Kidepo Valley National Park. The drive takes you past Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary where a stop is made for a track walk following the Rhinos, later driving north, lunch in Gulu/ enroute, Uganda’s second biggest town. After this continue to Kitgum.

Day 3:

Transfer and evening Game-drive in Kidepo Valley National Park

Transfer meeting with Karamojong people and evening Game-drive in Kidepo Valley National Park After breakfast set off for Kidepo valley National Park. In a landscape of vast plains and semi-arid savannah framed by jagged mountains and wooded hills, Kidepo is one of the wildest and most spectacular reserves in Africa. On arrival before entering the park have a cultural experience that will bring you into contact with Karamojong peoples at Karenna and Kapedo. Meet the local elders and have an opportunity to interact with them. They will show you the kraals, the grinding stones and many more interesting items.

Day 4:

Morning game-drive and afternoon

Morning game Drive towards Natabba gate are for the cheetahs and other lower grassland mammals. The landscape throughout the park is studded with small hills, rocky outcrops and inselbergs from which one can obtain stunning views in all directions enjoy panoramic views of the Narus River Valley and photographic opportunities of wildlife from all corners.  An evening game drive along the Narus River Valley for game Viewing and photography of Elephants, herds of Buffaloes, Jackals, Jackson's Hartebeest, Klipspringer and possibly Lions.

Day 5:

Kidepo park game, Morning game-drive and afternoon

After an early breakfast, go for a morning game drive to Kanangorok hot spring area crossing the sand river. A variety of animals can be seen roaming around including Ostrich connecting back for lunch.  And an evening focusing on the buffalo track and the water holes around Narus Valley.

Day 6:

Transfer through Gulu to Murchison Falls National Park. The Giraffe Paradise!

As we drive viewing some game, self – stop over in Ugandas’ biggest northern town, also the greatest hub of Africas´ newest country South Sudan.  Then a rather short connection to the Northern Bank of the Nile.

Day 7:

Game-drive in Murchison Falls National Park

 An early cup of tea / coffee at 6:00am to the Game drive Nile river Bank to the broad savannah for the most likelihood Big cats hunting, Elephants, Giraffes, Buffalos, plus more as the checklist of mammals reaches 76 we continue browsing the Drive circuits to the Delta point for a cocktail of Birds and mammals A very early start and advance into the Park as you descend to the albert Nile, game safari and in the afternoon a super highlight in the Afternoon-2-5pm a 3hours Boat ride to the base of Falls where you get to see the Hippos (You have never seen more hippos yawning, Grooming in there Pods anywhere else than here- Believe me you)! Nile crocodiles, elephants and a variety of beautiful bird species along the banks.  If you are a keen birder this might be your magnet to catch them Recommend a hike to top of the falls.. then  Masindi where Hemmingway Humphrey Bogart stayed during the film; African Queen! Day 8:

Chimps Trekking in Budongo forest and transfer to Hoima

An early morning for Chimps trekking in Budongo Forest. Walk through the fascinating jungle and have an amazing meeting with our close cousins, the chimpanzees. If you are a keen birder this might be your magnet to catch some forest species. After the trek transfer to Hoima to relax at the hotel in the afternoon.

Day 9:

Transfer to Kibale Forest National Park

After breakfast transfer towards Kibale forest. It’s a long drive with our target to have lunch in Fort portal as the distance was cut yesterday the pressure and fatigue is lessened. A punctuation of stopovers at sceneries like the Rift valley escarpment on Lake Albert - typical African village setup in the far countryside and tea plantations along the drive offer us chances of stretching. We check in late afternoon to an area with an amazing display of primates. A night in this forest gives you the calls from the nocturnal life plus famous Frog concerts in this forest area revealing a true pristine Africa.

Day 10:

Explore the area of Kibale Forest National Park and community walk in Kyambura

Kibale area crater exploration, visit Nkuruba lake different species of Monkeys- red colobus, red tailed monkey and bush babies. More in the forest canopy colored aviation creatures-butterflies various bird species like the native Great blue Turaco, joyful greenbul, olive long tailed cuckoo, the superb black bee eater. Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park after lunch, option to drive further southwards with the Rwenzori ranges (Longest in Africa) in view or drive through the Crater lakes in the Hills through to sample out the surprising diversity of Savannah trees and wildlife! In the late afternoon after arriving at the lodge in Kyambura we stretch our legs with a community walk to the close by village and beautiful crater lake.

Day 11:

Game-drive and boat cruise in Queen Elizabeth National Park

Discover Queen Elizabeth National Park in the cool morning with an early game drive that exposes us to diverse animals, Big 5 members Elephants, Buffalos, big cats- Lions, Leopards more times in the evening, warthogs- Hunchback carnivals like Hyenas are spotted along the Circuits as we drive along the and many more species that are residents to this park. There is a rich bird life especially our version of storks in the wetland sports as we reach the Flamingoes in the salt lakes. After lunch it is time for the Classic highlight of the 2hrs boat-cruise on the famous Kazinga channel, a 36kms channel linking Lake George to lake Edward. On the banks you can see land and water Adapted Hippopotamuses Yawning and some slashing canines to each other and the National Geographical society Killing machine the Nile Crocodile gaping along the Banks! Savannah versions of Pigs the Warthog- Pumba of the award winning Lion King are a hallmark sign in this Animal home!

Day 12:

Transfer to Bwindi forest via Ishasha's tree-climbing lions

We will drive off in the adventurous vast savannah of the Ishasa area of Queen Elizabeth NP with Topis, the southern version of Elephants and hopefully with the lions high in the Fig tree branches. This is one of two areas in Africa where lions have the habit of regularly climbing trees to take a rest. Transfer on to Bwindi mountain gorillas through a beautiful drive taking you from the savanna via cultivated hills to the jungle covered mountains of Bwindi. (If we reach early we can do the walk and mix with the locals or relax with the Orphans group performers) Overnight in Gorilla mist camp

Day 13:

Gorilla trekking day- Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

Early breakfast, Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park is the home to the forest giants that are cousins to human beings, the mountain gorillas. You will be taken in a group by a specialized guide into the jungle for your gorilla trekking adventure. Trek through the beautiful nature and spend one hour withe the gorillas, an unforgettable experience. This Impenetrable Forest is also full of birds, butterflies and plant species plus forest hog, forest elephants, statungas and dikers. Transfer to Lake Bunyonyi after the trek through cultivated hills. After this afternoon drive we check in to a lake 1840m above sea level for some rest. It is deservedly nice after trotting from Kampala since day 1 and some early starts - without any rest! Dinner and overnight Eco resort bunyonyi islands this night will depend on which group or time registered back after trekking. 

Day 14:

Relaxation day by Lake Bunyonyi Have a free day to relax by beautiful Lake Bunyonyi. There is a short list of activities: canoeing, swimming (safe in this lake), hiking on Bushara trail along the lake-shores, return to the hotel and relax / canoe ride along Lake Bunyonyi with small resident and exotic bird species singing.

Day 15:

Transfer to Lake Mburo National Park

After breakfast transfer to Lake Mburo, the ‘Zebra magnet’. Leave Lake Bunyonyi and continue driving through the hilly areas. Arrive in the park and have lunch at the lodge before heading for an afternoon game drive for view of Zebras, Topis, Warthogs, cape buffaloes and impalas.

Overnight in Rwakobo Rock.

Day 16:

Safari walk in Lake Mburo National Park and transfer to Entebbe airport

Early morning safari walk, get early up to visit the hyenas den, chance to see Leopards, zebras, waterbucks, birds buffaloes in there day break jungle life! Get back for breakfast and start the drive to Entebbe/Kampala. Have early lunch in Masaka and a stopover at the Equator. We have reached the end of the Uganda from north to south safari and drive back through Kampala to Entebbe for flight in the late afternoon (18.30 /06.30 pm)
