Lake Mburo National Park

Lake Mburo National Park is located in the western part of Uganda 215 km on the Kampala-Masaka-Mbarara high way. The park which is embraced with open savanna and acacia woodland has two gates. The Nshara gate which is only 13Km from the main Masaka-Mbarara Road and the Sanga gate also 13Km from the main Mbarara-Masaka Road.

Lake Mburo is a must place for all visitors wanting to see Zebras. Among other animals in the park are the Buffalos, Warthogs, Hippos, Crocodiles, the oribi, Waterbucks, hyenas and Monkeys

A Boat Cruise on Lake Mburo gives an opportunity for bird lovers to see a lot of birds. Around 315 species. Among them, the shoebill, The Fish Eagle, African finfoot.

Guided Nature Walks and a Boat cruise will help you explore the park around Rwonyo, culminating in a visit to a natural salt lick frequented by the wildlife

Fishing on the Lake is another activity with about 6 species of fish. The common one being the Tilapia. Sport fishing can also be arranged but an early booking with Mamaland Safaris is requested to arrange the fishing gear, other wise own Materials can be an added advantage.
Rubanga Forest: This forest offers a variety of Habitats; over 40 species of birds have been recorded in this forest. Some of the common species found here are the narina trogn, grey-backed cameroptera, harrier hawk, and the green pigeon.
