RWANDA
Rwanda is a landlocked Republic in Equatorial Africa is located on the eastern rim of the Albertine Rift, a western arm of the Great Rift Valley, on the watershed between Africa's two largest rivers the Nile and the Congo. Often called the "Land of a thousand hills".
The Volcanoes National park found in the Virunga conservation area of the volcanic mountains with its
high altitude forests, are world famous for mountain gorillas - timid and passive family oriented giants - which is teeming with wildlife both large and small, while Lake Kivu to the west offers beautiful beaches, jutting peninsulas and an archipelago of islands
Akagera National Park is located in the east of Rwanda . Set at a relatively low altitude on the border
with Tanzania . It is above all the big game country-With elephants, buffalos, giraffes, lions and antelopes beginning to be seen. The labyrinth of swamps dominates the Park scenically and lakes that follow the meandering course of the Akagera River , the most remote source of the Nile , this is an African savannah landscape of tangled acacia woodland interspersed with open grassland. This park could not be more different from the cultivated hills that characterize much of Rwanda .
