In our Country, unlike our great lakes neighbors who practice more of mass tourism, at home an eco-tourism approach has been taken and really paying off highly to the visitors, hosts, wildlife and operators at large.
Despite a set back after a political earthquake that dates back to 1960s, our Mamaland Uganda closely lost up to 3 decades Politically, economically and almost socially! The climax of the turmoil was when the Conqueror of the British empire-Field Marshal Idi Amin Dada militarily took over power and for 9 years it was a regime of murder and terror! Luckily enough since the popular Luwero triangle war instigated by Mr. Yoweri Museveni after mega titanic rigging, our now president with 26 other men headed to the bush and for 5 years took over power and for 20yrs we haven’t looked back.
Uganda’s growth has been used as a role model for growing countries by the UN, EU IMF, W.H.O on the fight against HIV spread with our President leading the medal list!
The reflection of a steady in tourism is highly attributed to the political stability and a breakdown of insurgency plus how socially, friendly a backbone of cultures cement our Mamaland Uganda and this underlines it as visitors ‘Prime destination’.

Savannah version of Pigs the Warthog- Pumba of the award winning Lion King are a hallmark sign in all the game parks in Mamaland Uganda.
Uganda has got its share of Reptiles-snakes like the spitting Cobra, Pythons, Birds like the small colored red Bishops, noisy Speke Weaverbirds, Paradise Pin tailed whydahs to the Spirited birds of prey like the Marshal eagles, fast moving Falcons not forgetting the Endemic species to our home like the Pre- historic Great Shoebill stork and the African green Broadbill!

National Game Parks, Reserves and Sceneries.
Among the Parks Murchison falls Conservation area more than 5000 square kms, the obsession that drew Victorian gentlemen to central and eastern Africa in the second half of the 19th century was above all the desire to discover the source of the mysterious Nile.
During the Early traffic the 1st of these travelers to see Murchison falls was a sportsman adventurer Samuel Baker Knighted after in 1864. with the beauty to behold with a visit to the base and to of the falls climaxing your trip as a highlight during a 2-3hrs boat cruise down the Nile. Hippos yawning, Crocodiles gaping like laying a trap, and schools of Kingfishers with the territorial African fish eagles waiting to swoop fish is a magnificent moment! Plus lots of mammals on the banks quenching thirst along the flowing river.
The towering chequered like Rothschild’s Giraffes area sight on the French like plains. Oribi
antelopes , Jackson’s hartebeests are numerous, lions and jackals of course the ground hornbill are common. Optional Primate walks in this area for the Kanio-pabidi Chimpanzees is another attraction.
Driving Further southwards sceneries of the Albert lake rift valley are a subject to photographers all through to Kibale forest reserve National park a home to over 4000 Chimpanzees is worthy option in the world to visit with our closet cousins 98% genetically related with man! Will be watched during the primate walk swinging from branch to branch and on the ground grooming in there extra excited moods, feeding and other members breeding plus over 10 species of monkeys.
Butterflies, Birds, like the Great blue Turaco, Ross’s Turaco in the forest canopy make it a place out of the busy world- with most visitors commenting about the tree sky house Banda and how cool and real this African forest feels experience as unforgettable and many extending there stay!. A walk in bigodi Swamp bird sanctuary with the famous Frogs concert wraps up your stay with more monkeys to see. Queen Elizabeth National Park's diverse Eco-system of grassy plains, tropical forest, rivers, swamps, lakes and volcanic craters is home to an incredible abundance of wildlife. Game drives in this park, with the massive Rwenzoris as a backdrop provides excellent opportunities to see lion, leopard, giant forest hog, cape buffalo, elephants, defassa waterbuck, Uganda Kob, Topi and bush buck. North of the main gate is the crater area, one of the most scenic parts of the park. To the East, in Kyambura Gorge, visitors can climb through tropical forest and catch a glimpse of a variety of primates, including chimpanzee.
Over 500 species of birds have been recorded here making it a prime target for birdwatchers. Species recorded include the shoebill stork, black bee-eater, 11 types of kingfishers and a variety of raptors including several falcons and eagles. In the crater lakes, spectacular flocks of flamingos gather, creating the image of a moving pink carpet. The unique 02 hour launch trip along the Kazinga Channel between Lakes George and Edward passes through possibly the highest hippo concentration in Africa and many mammals may be seen drinking at the water's edge. The cruise offers an excellent platform for photography and game viewing..
Gorilla Tracking in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest
After an early breakfast and a briefing by a ranger guide, enter the gorilla sanctuary for your adventure. The beauty of this rain forest is spectacular. The area offers dramatic steeply forested landscape and is incredibly dense, but criss-crossed by numerous animal trails allowing access to tourists. The time taken and the terrain varies with the movements of these great primates. The thrill of spending time observing these gentle and endangered giants is an awesome, exciting experience to be long savored. Many find it to be a rare and moving opportunity.
Lake Bunyonyi
Drive to Lake Bunyonyi near Kabale. Kabale is the unofficial capital of the Kigezi region and is a beautiful, mountainous area with steep-sided hills, neatly terraced cultivation and many small lakes. One of the most attractive is Lake Bunyonyi , which is situated on a ridge to the northwest of Kabale. Large and irregular shaped, Lake Bunyonyi features a number of islands and is surrounded by heavily cultivated hillsides. A Dutch built leper colony used to be located on the largest island. It was relocated in 1969 when the buildings where taken over by a community of disabled people producing crafts. Lake Bunyonyi is the deepest lake in Uganda and one on the very few Bilharzia-free-so-you-can-swim-lakes.
Lake Mburo NP
With its own system of game trails and cleared walkways the "Kigambara Loop" offers interesting guided lakeside walks. Find here herds of zebra, Cape buffalo and Elands. Oribi and topi are easily approached. Along with a game drive, you may enjoy the boat ride on Lake Mburo and get quite close to crocs and hippos. This is the only park where you are not entirely imprisoned in a vehicle. Rather refreshing! Birdwatchers will enjoy the more than 250 species of birds found in Lake Mburo including Papyrus Gonolek, Brown faced Lapwing. Carruther's Cisticola, the extraordinary White winged Warbler and Bare-Faced-Go- Away bird.
