Let’s see how the 10-days Uganda tour was
Arrival in Uganda and starting the adventure
The 10 days Uganda tour began with a smooth arrival at Entebbe International Airport. Our solo guest was welcomed and transferred to Tilapia Lodge, a tranquil retreat by Lake Victoria. After a relaxed night the journey through Uganda began. A stop at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary offered a guided walk to track Uganda’s only wild rhinos on foot. After lunch, they continued to Murchison Falls National Park. This is Uganda’s biggest park. Besides the game-drives a highlight here is the Top of the Falls, where the powerful Nile squeezes through a 7-meter gorge.
Chimpanzee Trekking & Transfer to Queen Elizabeth NP
Leaving the savanna of Murchison Falls National Park behind, they journeyed through western Uganda toward the Kibale Forest region. Getting views of Uganda’s countryside along the way. On the 5th day of the 10-days Uganda tour our solo traveler set off for a morning chimpanzee trek in Kibale Forest National Park. You can see a picture from the trek below. Later, they continued the journey through the scenic crater lakes area toward Queen Elizabeth National Park, with stops along the way to enjoy the views.
Exploring Queen Elizabeth National Park
Next day started with a morning game-drive in Queen Elizabeth National Park that delivered a fantastic sighting of a male lion. Take a look at the video below. Would you do as Paul and rush to get the window up? After lunch, it was time for a boat-cruise on Kazinga Channel. Here there was chance to see hippos, buffaloes, and a wide variety of birds. Paul and the solo traveler then explored the Ishasha sector, famous for its tree-climbing lions.
Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest
The much-awaited gorilla trekking day began early. Paul ensured the traveler was briefed and ready for the adventure. Heading into the jungle for a hike and an unforgettable hour with the Mountain Gorilla’s of Uganda. The journey then continued to the beautiful Topi Lodge at the edge of the Ishasha sector of Queen Elizabeth National Park to spend the night.
Finalizing the 10-days Uganda tour
The journey continued with a drive to Lake Mburo National Park, one of Uganda’s smaller parks but rich in beauty. After lunch at Rwakobo Rock Lodge, they enjoyed an evening game drive. Here they could sight zebras, impalas, giraffes among other animals. On the final day, the adventure finished with a walking safari in Lake Mburo National Park. This is a very special experience that brings you close to nature. Paul then drove them back toward Entebbe, stopping at the Equator for a classic Uganda Equator photo before reaching Entebbe.
