Day by day itinerary for our 3 days Murchison Falls safari:
DAY 1: TRANSFER TO MURCHISON FALLS NATIONAL PARK VIA ZIWA RHINO SANCTUARY
Leave Kampala in the morning for the start of your 3 days Murchison Falls safari. Along the way we stop at Ziwa rhino sanctuary where they are working at reintroducing rhinos to Uganda. Here you go for a trek to see these impressive animals. Have lunch along the way and continue on to the lodge by Murchison Falls national park.
Overnight in Hornbill Bush Lodge
DAY 2: MORNING GAME-DRIVE AND AFTERNOON BOAT-CRUISE ON THE NILE IN MURCHISON FALLS NP
In the early morning we head out for a game-drive as we continue our 3 days Murchison Falls safari, where you have the chance of seeing Big cats hunting, Elephants, Giraffes, Buffalos, plus more as the checklist of mammals reaches 76. We continue browsing the Drive circuits to the Delta point for a cocktail of Birds and mammals. After the game-drive we go for lunch before it is time for 3 hour boat ride to the base of the falls where you get to see the Hippos (You have never seen more hippos yawning, Grooming in there Pods anywhere else than here- Believe me you)! Nile Crocodiles, Elephants and a variety of beautiful bird species along the banks. If you are a keen birder this might be your magnet to catch them. This is a grand start to your visit in this Great Animal home.
Overnight in Hornbill Bush Lodge
DAY 3: GAME-DRIVE, TOP OF THE FALLS AND TRANSFER BACK TO KAMPALA
In the morning we check out and go for a second game-drive in Murchison Falls national park. This gives you a last chance to see big cats and impressive giraffes. Then we head on to visit the top of the falls. This is a magnificent classic highlight on our last day of the safari as an explosive dash of water at close range gushes through a narrow crevice. After this we leave the park and start the journey back to Kampala having lunch along the way. Your guide drops you as we have reached the end of your 3-days Murchison Falls safari.

On this short safari you will experience the highlight of meeting the mountain gorillas of Uganda. During your gorilla trekking you will walk through the beautiful jungle and spend one hour with the gorillas of the misty mountains.
