This September a couple from Mexico went with us for our popular 11-days Uganda Tanzania Tour. This activity packed tour let them meet the mountain gorillas in Bwindi, search for tree-climbing lions in Ishasha, go for a boat-cruise on Kazinga channel, experience the culture during a village walk and go chimps trekking in Uganda to then fly over to Tanzania for the amazing nature experiences that Serengeti and Ngorongoro crater offers.
The start of the Uganda & Tanzania tour has one of the great highlights, mountain gorilla trekking. After being picked at the airport in Entebbe and resting there for a night our visitors made the journey down to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, the home of the mountain gorillas. Our team spent a night in the beautiful mountains getting ready for the adventure the next day. Heading into the forest in a group with a specialized guide they had a good sighting of the gorillas.
After the trek the Uganda & Tanzania tour continued on down the forest covered mountains, on to cultivated hills, villages and finally the savannah of Ishasha the southern sector of Queen Elizabeth national park. Our visitors spent this third night of the tour at Topi Lodge just at the edge of the Ishasha sector. The next morning our team headed into Queen Elizabeth National Park’s Ishasha sector to search the fig-trees for tree-climbing lions. As with all wildlife there are no guarantees of a good sighting but they were lucky to spot a tree-climbing lion. The Uganda Tanzania safari then continued on towards the northern sector of Queen Elizabeth National Park for further adventures.
