When travelling here you can almost be sure that you will at some point run into a troop of baboons. When this happens you can safely study these from the car. Look at the cute babies, see them groom and enjoy their games. If you are lucky there will be some young members that put up a show for you!

Primates on safari
When you are headed to East Africa for a safari the primates that come to mind is for sure the mysterious Mountain Gorilla and chimpanzees. Trekking these two fascinating primates is best done in Uganda where chances for a good sighting is great combined with a more affordable price. It is as well possible to go for a trek to see the Golden Monkey in the south of Uganda or in Rwanda.
For the three primates mentioned above you head into the jungle for a trek, but there is as well chance to tick off more primates during your journey through East Africa. Baboons can commonly be seen on the roads as we drive through the National Parks. While driving through forests is to keep the eyes on the trees to catch a sight of primates like red tailed monkey or black and white colobus.
