Tony recently took a group of six happy Swedes on safari. They got a nice experience of some birding in Murchison Falls National Park mixed in with enjoying the Great abundances of Wildlife with Giraffes, Lions, Buffaloes, Hippos, a lot of different antelopes and elephants.
During the safari-drive they spotted some of Uganda’s beautiful birds. A highlight for the visitor’s bird wise was to see one of Uganda’s most sought after Bird the Great shoebill stork. This prehistoric looking bird with its big beak and height of around 1.2 meter fascinates most. Around now there are a lot of Palaearctic visitors arriving including storks, warblers, yellow wagtails, flocks of buzzards, Steppe eagles, European bee- eaters plus lots of waders.
