Community walk at Pumba Safari Cottages, Our lodge by Queen Elizabeth national park, Pumba safari cottages, is located close to a village in beautiful surroundings and we can offer you a guided walk around. The village called Kyambura and here the community lives with the park as their neighbor. Many of the villagers make their living as farmers and the walk takes you through fields with crops such as matoke (a type of bananas that are cooked and eaten in a similar way as potatoes), cotton, maize and coffee. The walk in the village of Kyambura gives a glimpse of how life is in the Ugandan countryside and we warmly recommend it when you are a visitor at our Pumba Safari Cottages.

- Backyard life of the close by village
- Beautiful views as the village spreads out over the hills, introduction to Common foodstuff
- A crater lake
- If you have more energy/time you can finish with a walk down to the Kyambura river where locals collect their water
Bring water and a hat for the sun. Keep in mind that the walk to the river involves a steep walk back up.
