Culture safari in Uganda

Our guide Enock has just finished a safari in Uganda. Where the main focus wasn’t the animals but the people of Uganda. A culture safari taking Enock and our visitors on a journey. To the far north of Uganda and on to the southern parts. As Uganda is a country with 56 different tribes they had many interesting meetings along the way. Visiting markets, taking part in traditional dances. And learning about the way of life in the villages for tribes like the Sebei, Ik-people, Karamojong and Batwa. Being a trip to nature and animal gifted Uganda. They also included game-drives and boat-cruises to spot animals, a chimpanzee trek as well as nature walks.

These visitors opted for a tailor-made safari fitting their wish of including many cultural community visits. Our Culture and wildlife Northern Uganda 8 day safari can give you an idea of a similar culture safari and it can be adapted to fit your wishes.

Our 8-days culture safari covers the Northern parts of Uganda. Starting the journey with Sipi Falls as the destination. Here we found an impressive scenery with waterfalls as well as the home of the Sebei tribe. Head for a walk to see the falls as well as a guided community walk focused on how the Sebei grow and process coffee on the slopes of Mt. Elgon. Continuing on the journey goes through remote areas of Karamoja, the home of the Karamojong people. This people live as cattle herders in a traditional way. Visiting a village they will show you the kraals, the grinding stones and many more interesting items. The journey then includes wildlife in Kidepo Valley National Park, Murchsion Falls National Park and Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary.
