Gorillas of Uganda – 3 days gorilla trekking safari

Go for a 3-days gorilla trekking safari to the misty mountains. Get a bonus by spending the 2nd night by the edge of Queen Elizabeth NP (chance for elephants & more).You will experience the highlight of meeting the mountain gorillas of Uganda. During your gorilla trekking you will walk through the beautiful jungle and spend one hour with the gorillas of the misty mountains. After the trek you leave the mountains to spend the second night by the edge of Queen Elizabeth national park, with the chance of seeing elephants along the way.

Day by day itinerary:

 

Day 1: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

Meet your guide and start off early from Kampala for your 3-days gorilla trekking adventure, be prepared for a long day in the car. Along the way you will make a stop by the equator for some photos and have lunch in Masaka or Mbarara depending on the time. Continue on to to Bwindi mountain Gorillas through the neck of the impenetrable forest.
Overnight in Gorilla mist camp 

 

Day 2: Gorilla trekking day – Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

Bwindi Impenetrable National Park is the home to the forest giants that are cousins to human beings, the gorillas. Have an early breakfast before setting off for your gorilla trekking adventure with a specialized guide. Besides the gorillas this Impenetrable Forest is full of birds, butterflies and plant species plus forest hog, forest elephants, statungas and dikers. Enjoy the walk through the forest and spend one hour around the gorillas. After the gorilla trek your guide picks you and depending on the time you are back from trekking you get started on the trip back to Kampala cutting the time of the journey for tomorrow. The aim is to spend the night at the edge of Queen Elizabeth national park, with an exciting drive there with chance of seeing baboons and other monkeys along the way as well as a the chance of spotting elephants from the lodge.
Overnight in Pumba Safari Cottages (depends on time back from trekking, if late back overnight will be in Kabale)

 

Day 3: Transfer to Kampala

After breakfast you set off towards Kampala. Have lunch along the way. Get back to Kampala in the late afternoon/evening after meeting the Gorillas of Uganda as we finish your 3-days gorilla trekking safari.

Price: The price depends on number of people and accommodation level. Contact us with your inquiry to get the best price for your safari.
Included: Accommodation, meals, safari car, fuel, guide, park entries, gorilla permits (if applicable) and activities mentioned in the itinerary. Plus water in the car and a couple of fruits along the way.
Excluded: International flights, visas, drinks, tips and personal expenses.
Accommodation: In general accommodation mentioned in the itinerary is good places on budget to mid-range level (with the exception of luxury safaris). The accommodation can be adapted to your price range of budget, mid-range or luxury. Of course a mix is also possible. Payment Options: We accept international bank transfer, card payment through PesaPal (adds 3,5% charge) and cash payment if you are in Uganda.
