Let us show you Kampala during this Kampala city tour, the bustling capital city of Uganda with a population of over two million at the shores of Lake Victoria. Kampala is a colorful city with a mix of people and ways of life. In several places nice views are offered since the city is originally built on seven hills, even-though it has now grown bigger.
This kampala city tour INCLUDES:
Day by day itinerary for our Kampala city tour:
DAY 1: CITY TOUR OF KAMPALA
We start our Kampala city tour from your hotel in the morning and use either public transport or a car to get around (depending on your preference). Using public transport adds an extra experience to the city tour as you get closer to life here by using the communal minibuses called taxis. When having reached the center we look around, seeing highlights like the old taxi park, markets and city life while you learn about the Ugandan culture. This city tour of Kampala lets you get a true taste of the city of Kampala!
The tour can be half or full day, depending on your wishes. If you want a full day city tour it can as well include options like lunch of local food, a crafts market, Gaddafi mosque or Namirembe cathedral. To reach some of these locations we have to use car instead of public transport.

The prehistoric looking shoebill is a bird that interests many visitors (even the ones that are not that into birds). During this day trip we head to Mabamba swamp to hopefully see this strange looking bird.
The city of Entebbe doesn’t only have the international airport it also holds UWEC (Uganda Wildlife Educational Centre, the former zoo) and the botanical gardens. This day trip lets you go behind the scenes at UWEC to see the animals of Uganda close up! We then have lunch by the shores of Lake Victoria before enjoying the beautiful botanical gardens.
Take a short safari to Lake Mburo National Park to experience wildlife, scenery and recharge energy in the peaceful park. This is one of the two parks in Uganda where the beautiful zebra can be seen and on the way back to Kampala you have the chance to see the great shoebill stork with its prehistoric look.
