Day by day itinerary for our Lake Mburo safari:
DAY 1: TRANSFER TO LAKE MBURO NATIOnAL PARK AND GAME-DRIVE
Have an early transfer to Lake Mburo Natioal Park, the ‘Zebra magnet’ for our 2 days Lake Mburo safari. Stop over and take photo poses at the Equator and continue driving through Masaka. We head straight for the lodge for check in and lunch. In the late afternoon go for a game-drive for view of zebras, giraffes, topis, warthogs, cape buffaloes and impalas. When entering the park enjoy a landscape of vast savannah dotted with acacia and shrubs.
Overnight in Rwakobo Rock
DAY 2: EARLY MORNING SAFARI WALK AND Shoebill at MABAMBA SWAMP
Get early up for a safari walk by the lodge with chance of seeing zebras, waterbucks, birds and buffaloes in their day break jungle life! This is a special experience as you move on foot with fascinating animals in view. Go back to the lodge for breakfast before starting the drive towards Kampala. Make a stop along the way by the famous Mabamba Swamp for the Prehistoric Great Shoebill Stork, the swamp is also a host of many water birds! After hopefully spotting this fascinating bird continue on to Kampala as we have reached the end of our 2 days Lake Mburo safari.
