Our Queen Elizabeth 3 days safari is one of our most popular short safaris. It is perfect for the one who does not have that much time but still want to explore a bit of beautiful Uganda.
The safari starts off from Kampala in the early morning of day 1. You pass by the Equator for some photo poses on the point where the northern- and southern hemispheres meet. Then continue on through a changing landscape of papyrus wetlands, villages, farm land, tea estates, forest and finally the view of the open savanna of Queen Elizabeth national park. When you arrive to our lodge Pumba Safari Cottages in the afternoon you check in and go for a village walk to a nearby crater lake. Getting to walk through the plantations and see how the people in the village next to the lodge live their lives. Then head back to Pumba Safari Cottages to enjoy the stunning view over Queen Elizabeth national park.
Next day has another early start as you head out on the savanna of Queen Elizabeth national park to look for lions, leopards, buffaloes and more. As you drive the sun rises and the excitement starts. After the game-drive you have time for lunch and some little relaxation at the lodge. Then it is one to the high-light of the boat-cruise on Kazinga channel. This is according to us the best safari boat-cruise offered in Uganda and you can expect to see hippos, crocodiles, elephants, buffaloes and an abundance of birds during the 2-hour cruise.
The last day of the safari finishes off with a trekking adventure as you head in to Kalinzu forest to look for chimpanzees. It is truly an experience to walk through the jungle and hopefully get a good sighting of the chimps. After the chimps trekking it is time to start the journey back to Kampala full of memories from the safari.
