Moses and our Swedish visitors have just finished their Queen Elizabeth NP safari experience of the trip. And are now headed for Bwindi’s mountain gorillas. They are out on a 15-days Uganda safari taking them to Ziwa rhino sanctuary to trek rhinos, Murchison Falls NP for an abundance of giraffes, Kibale Forest to meet chimpanzees, a walk in the crater lakes region. Queen Elizabeth NP with it’s nice boat-cruise and tree-climbing lions, the highlight of gorilla trekking. And then finally days to relax by beautiful Lake Bunyonyi.
In Queen Elizabeth NP they first explored the main part of the park with a morning game-drive and a boat-cruise on Kazinga channel offering sights of hippos, elephants and more along the shores. Next they had a morning with a village walk. To see how the community close to the park lives. And then an afternoon with the adventurous journey through the park down to Ishasha, the southern sector of the park. Here they had a night at Topi Lodge before heading into the park for a morning game-drive. The Ishasha part of Queen Elizabeth NP is known for its tree-climbing lions. So a game-drive here means searching the big fig-trees for lions as well as seeing topis, buffaloes and elephants. To finish off their Queen Elizabeth NP safari they entered the park a last time for an afternoon game-drive before heading back to the lodge.
