Every safari is different. Some days are filled with incredible wildlife encounters, while others are remembered for a quiet breakfast with a view or a roadside stop that becomes part of the adventure. These are some of the moments from our June safaris that we wanted to share. We hope they give you a feel for what it’s like to travel through East Africa with us—from the famous highlights to the little experiences in between.
Night game-drive
One of our recent safaris was designed around the unique experience of night game-drives. Exploring Murchison Falls National Park, Queen Elizabeth National Park and Lake Mburo National Park after sunset gave us the chance to discover the bush from a different perspective, searching for lions, leopards and other nocturnal wildlife.

A safari is just as much about the people you share it with as the places you visit. After another memorable day in the bush, it was time to capture one more smile before continuing the adventure together.
Wildlife photography doesn’t get much more rewarding than this
Imagine adjusting your camera settings while a calm silverback stands nearby, completely at ease in the forest he calls home. There’s no rush, no performance—just one of nature’s most incredible encounters unfolding right in front of you. These are the moments that make gorilla trekking unlike any other wildlife experience.

Taking time to see beyond the Big 5
Not every highlight on safari is a large mammal. Along the way we stopped to admire the remarkable craftsmanship of weaver birds, whose carefully woven nests are among nature’s most impressive little creations.
Crater lakes breakfast
A breakfast to remember forever for our safari team! The team at Pumba Safari Cottages by Queen Elizabeth National Park arranged a beautiful moment overlooking the scenic twin crater lakes nearby.
