Day by day itinerary for our 3 days Queen Elizabeth National Park safari:
DAY 1: TRANSFER TO lodge by Ishasha sector FOR OUR 3 DAYS QUEEN ELIZABETH SAFARI
Transfer out of Kampala/Entebbe early in the morning as we start our 3 days Queen Elizabeth National Park safari. Make a stop for coffee and photos at the Equator. We continue on taking in the lanscape and having lunch along the way. Our target for the day is to reach the area of Ishasha, the southern sector of Queen Elizabeth National Park. In the afternoon we check in at the lodge by Ishasha and spend the late afternoon taking a village walk or enjoying the view from the lodge.
Drive time: Around 9 hours
Overnight: Topi Lodge
DAY 2: GAME DRIVE for tree-Climbing lions in Ishasha & BOAT-CRUISE IN QUEEN ELIZABETH NATIONAL PARK
Start the second day of our Queen Elizabeth safari with an early game-drive in Ishasha. This sector of the park is famous for its tree-climbing lions, which is a rare behaviour for these big cats. We search the big fig treess for lions and also have chance to see for example elephants, buffalos and leopard.
After the gam-drive we start the journey towards the main part of Queen Elizabeth National Park on the adventourus road that goes through the park. Along the way we have chance to see monkeys like baboons and black & white colobus monkey.
After lunch we then get ready for the Classic highlights on the 2hrs Boat cruise on the famous Kazinga channel. This is a 36kms natural channel linking Lake George and Lake Edward. Here we can see land and water Adapted Hippopotamuses Yawning and some slashing canines to each other. As well as the National Geographical society Killing machine the Nile Crocodile gaping along the Banks! Savannah version of Pigs the Warthog- Pumba of the award winning Lion King are a hallmark sign in this Animal home! These is as well chance to see elephants playing in the water. After the boat-cruise we head to the lodge by Queen Elizabeth National Park for a peaceful evening.
Drive time: Short drives to activities & approximately 2 hours drive from Ishasha to main part of the park
Overnight in Pumba Safari Cottages
DAY 3: CHIMPanzee TREKKING IN KALINZU FOREST & TRANSFER TO KAMPALA
In the morning we leave the lodge and head over to Kalinzu forest. It is now time to enjoy the walk through the forest and the fascinating meeting with the chimpanzees. After the trek embark on the drive back to Kampala with a stopover at equator and lunch in Masaka. Drive back through to Kampala/Entebbe as we have reached the end of the 3 days Queen Elizabeth safari.
Drive time: Around 7 hours
