A safari team we had in August finished off their trip with a visit to UWEC Entebbe (Uganda wildlife educational centre). There they really got to meet some of Uganda’s fascinating animals close up during a behind the scenes tour. A guide from UWEC Entebbe took them along to participate in the feeding and learn more about the animals.
Tilapia Lodge by Entebbe
You are most likely starting or finishing your safari with a at least one night in Entebbe, since this is where Uganda’s international airport is. This night should for sure be spent at our Tilapia Lodge at the shores of Lake Victoria. Here you get to experience Africa’s biggest lake and enjoy a close to nature stay.
If you have time you can visit UWEC like mentioned above in this blog post or chose from other possible activities. You can be taken over to Mabamba swamp to search for the Shoebill Stork, head out for a boat-cruise on Lake Victoria, go fishing for Nile Perch or go for a guided village walk.
Include UWEC in your Uganda safari
A visit to UWEC in Entebbe is possible to include at the start or end of a safari in Uganda. We can also take you for a day trip to Entebbe from Kampala with a UWEC behind the scenes visit, lunch by Lake Victoria and a walk in the botanical gardens.
