To get a bit closer to the people and culture in Uganda it is for example possible to make a visit to a school during your safari. As long as it is not holiday time this is usually no problem to arrange. During a safari our visitors were taken on a walk to a school nearby our lodge Pumba Safari Cottages at the edge of Queen Elizabeth National Park. Here they would visit a village school in Uganda.
This is a nice way to meet Uganda’s friendly people and see a bit of their everyday life. When reaching the school our visitors got a warm welcome. Both our visitors and the children had a good time and appreciated the visit.
A journey through Uganda
We like to say that we take you on a journey through Uganda. By this we mean that you will not just get the highlights of Uganda’s amazing wildlife during your safari, you will also get some insights into life in Uganda.
During your safari we can include a village walk as well as stops along the way. These stops can be at a market, village, tea plantation or at a beautiful scenery. Adding to your experience of Uganda these little moments can let you taste Uganda’s amazing fruits, meet friendly people or get some idea about how life is like in Uganda’s countryside.
With Uganda’s varied nature there will for sure be moments when your guide stops for a photo moment. This can be while driving through the mountains of Bwindi where the terraced plantations are transitioning into jungle covered mountains. Or while on the journey from Kibale Forest National Park to Queen Elizabeth National Park when you drive through the scenic crater lakes region.
All adding up to a journey through Uganda, increasing your understanding of the Pearl of Africa.
