7 days Uganda safari – Animals of the savanna and Gorillas
Experience the amazing mix that Uganda can offer during this 7 days Uganda safari with Gorilla trekking and classic game-drives on the savanna searching for lions and zebras. On this safari you’ll go for game-drives on the savannas in Queen Elizabeth national park and Lake Mburo national park as well as go trekking Gorillas in Bwindi impenetrable national park. Mixed in is an evening by beautiful Lake Bunyonyi to relax after the gorilla trekking.
We meet our tour guide for the 7 days Uganda safari at Entebbe airport (depending on flight time) and transfer to our hotel in Kampala to relax after the flight and be ready for tomorrows adventures. Overnight in Mamaland guest home.
Day 2: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park
Leave Kampala in the early morning and be ready for a long drive. Make a stop at the Equator for some photos on the point where the southern and northern hemisphere meets. Continue on past the towns of Masaka and Mbarara and to drive through the tea estates and beyond the Kalinzu forest. Check in at the lodge and enjoy a relaxed evening. Overnight Pumba safari cottages (Superb to appreciate the African star lit sky here).
Day 3: Game-drive and Boat-cruise Queen Elizabeth National Park
Explore Queen Elizabeth National Park in the cool morning with an early game-drive that exposes us to diverse animals, Big 5 members Elephants, Buffalos, big cats- Lions, Leopards more times in the evening, warthogs- Hunchback carnivals like Hyenas are spotted along the circuits as we drive along the and many more species that are residents to this park. There is a rich bird life especially our version of storks in the wetland sports as we reach the Flamingoes in the salt lakes. After lunch we head for a classic highlight of the 3pm 2hrs Boat cruise on the famous Kazinga channel, a 36kms channel linking Lake George to Lake Edward. From the boat you can spot land and water adapted Hippopotamuses yawning and some slashing canines to each other, the National Geographical society killing machine the Nile Crocodile gaping along the banks, savannah version of Pigs the Warthog- Pumba of the award winning Lion King are a hallmark sign in this animal home as well as many diferent birds. Day 4: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable NP through Ishasha’s tree-climbing lions
Leave the lodge early in the morning heading to the Ishasha part of Queen Elizabeth National Park. We will drive off in this adventurous vast savanna area with Topis and the southern version of Elephants to hopefully get the Lions high in the fig tree branches. Transfer on to Bwindi mountain Gorillas after the game-drive, through the neck of the impenetrable forest. The journey takes us through a changing landscape from savanna via cultivated hills to forest covered mountains. (If we reach early we can do the walk and mix with the locals or relax with the Orphans group performers). Overnight in Gorilla mist camp
Day 5: Gorilla trekking day- Bwindi Impenetrable forest
Have an early breakfast surrounded by Bwindi Impenetrable Forest the home to the forest giants that are cousins to human beings, the gorillas. We have reached a highlight of the safari as you this day will go gorilla trekking in a group with a specialized guide, walk through the fascinating jungle and spend one hour with the Mountain Gorillas. This Impenetrable Forest is full of birds, butterflies and plant species plus forest hog, forest Elephants, Statungas and Dikers. After the gorilla trek we transfer to beautiful Lake Bunyonyi through cultivated hills. In the afternoon we check in to a lake at 1840m above sea level. Here you can relax after the trek and even take a swim if it’s not to cold for you (the lake is free from bilharzia, hippos and crocodiles). Overnight Lake Bunyonyi Eco Resort (Lake Bunyonyi this night will depend on which group or time registered back after trekking.)
Day 6: Transfer to Lake Mburo; the ‘Zebra magnet’, game-drive
We leave Lake Bunyonyi after breakfast and start the drive towards Lake Mburo national park. We reach the park in time for lunch at the lodge. In the afternoon we game-drive for view of Zebras, Topis, Warthogs, cape buffaloes and Impalas. Overnight in Rwakobo rock
Day 7: Early morning safari walk in Lake Mburo NP and transfer to Entebbe
Start the day early with a safari walk getting you close to nature. Visit the hyenas den, chance to see Leopards, zebras, waterbucks, birds and buffaloes in there day break jungle life. After the safari walk you have breakfast at the lodge before setting of for Entebbe as we have reached the end of the 7 days Uganda safari. We reach Entebbe in the afternoon and you can arrange for an evening flight or add a night in Entebbe to fly the next day.

Price: The price depends on number of people and accommodation level. Contact us with your inquiry to get the best price for your safari. Included: Accommdoation, meals, safari car, fuel, guide, park entries, gorilla permits (if applicable) and activites mentioned in the itinerary. Plus water in the car and a couple of fruits along the way. Excluded: International flights, visas, drinks, tips and personal expenses. Accommodation: In general accommodation mentioned in the itinerary is good places on budget to mid-range level (with the exception of luxury safaris). The accommodation can be adapted to your price range of budget, mid-range or luxury. Of course a mix is also possible. Payment options: We accept international bank transfer, card payment through PesaPal (adds 3,5% charge) and cash payment if you are in Uganda.
